I bought some of these over a year ago and they have been great! Now the design has changed and they are useless as coasters. They turn on and off depending on whether a mug is placed on them. Now you need to turn on and off the switch on the back manually. This eliminates the cool factor completely! Also, turning it on and off manually every time you use it isn't practical. TERRIBLE CHANGE!

Does not light up For dining and entertainment

Terrible design product. 1) It requires far more pressure/weight than any large cup/mug can provide. I had to squeeze my hand with all my might to make even the light blink. 2) The sensor on the back of the stand makes it wobble and become unstable. I would never trust putting anything filled with liquid on this thing. You will be very disappointed if you order this and expect them to light up when you put a drink on them.

Pros
  • For dining and entertainment
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Really good coasters!

These coasters are pretty cool. They are plastic and you need to remove the small piece of rubber at the bottom. They then turn on as soon as you place a drink on them as the weight of the drink depresses the little button at the bottom. They turn off when you raise your glass because the actual coaster isn't heavy enough to push the button. They are very bright, brighter than I expected, we tried them in the dark and it was too much. Almost like a night light. But in normal light they are…

  • So far so good
