They are not waterproof. They will get wet if liquid is spilled on them. If you want something to freshen up the look of your chairs, they work well for that purpose. But they are not waterproof.

These seat covers are great for restoring old stained dining room chairs. I was worried they wouldn't be big enough since my chair cushions are 21 inches wide in the front, but they look great. My chairs look like new.

I thought the material was a bit stronger but they were easy to apply and looked good. You will need to remove the screws from the chair's seat to slide the cover over it and attach the attached clips. I bought these for my daughter's dining room chairs and as another reviewer said, wish I had done so a long time ago.

I took these out of the box and pulled them up to see if they were woven well to block water but to my surprise they were larger you could see the light through see them through. I thought it was another waste of money but to my surprise I poured water over it again and saw that the water moved along the surface without being absorbed. Impressive is what I said then and will say again. IMPRESSIVE!

The fabric works although I find it a little pricey for the quality you get. Poor workmanship: One of the cases I received had misplaced rubber band clips. The other was already colored. Misleading Descriptions: I found the cases to be very thin and not waterproof as advertised. Good: I only bought it to cover my aging seat and it works for that. I do not recommend this for leatherette/leather seats as they are slippery. Conclusion: Good product, but a bit expensive.

I bought these to cover my dining chairs, had no idea what to expect but… I unscrewed four screws on each chair so no elastic was showing around the chair unfortunately one of the small clips was broken, don't know what to do with it... looks like handmade, I personally find it an inexpensive way to change the color and looks good....white is new.... I gave it four stars just because of the broken one I don't know what to do with what I need because I have six chairs…. no idea about…
