💡 Dell 180W Genuine Power Adapter PA Charger for Laptops - 74X5J, JVF3V Watt Compatibility Review

Just like my new 2018 Alienware M15 laptop. It fits and works perfectly. Also, I'm in Canada so it was about $100 cheaper than direct from Dell. Great if you were a travel charger and a stationary charger! haha

Works great on my Dell M4700. This charger is significantly smaller and lighter than what came with my laptop. My original is HUGE and will stay at home as long as I carry this smaller one in my bag. Charges my cars just as well as the others.

This is a non genuine Dell charger. It's a cheap, useless fake. I bought this 180w power adapter to replace my original 130w power adapter. Comparing the labels on the adapters, it was clear that it was a fake. When I plugged in this fake 180 watt adapter, my laptop was actively draining its battery as if not charging. My apps didn't open either. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The charger works but my laptop still behaves like it needs to conserve battery power (slows down, starts programs slowly etc.). Sometimes when I plug it in after the battery dies it just stays at that level. For example, if I plug my laptop in at 88%, it stays at 88% the whole time. It won't go down, it won't go up. As someone who uses a lot of programs that require a lot of processing power, I'm uncomfortable with my laptop still behaving like it's not charging properly.

I purchased this charger as a replacement for my Dell Precision M4700. This laptop is now 7 years old but still works very well despite some battery issues. I tried to find replacement parts for it on Dell official website but until now they have stopped selling anything for it. I was delighted to find this listing and to confirm that it is a genuine Dell product. I am very reluctant to use third party replacement parts as they have a greater risk of damaging your computer.
