Sharpens like a dream

This whetstone is exactly what I needed to keep my knives and tools in top shape. Through trial and error, I found that this Genuine Arkansas Sharpening stone brought my dull blades back to life better than any other product I've tried. It's made of high-quality materials and can handle even the toughest jobs. The only downside is that it can take a bit of time and effort to get the perfect edge, but the results are well worth it. As an avid user of Industrial and Scientific finishing products,

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to its genuine Arkansas stone material
Cons
  • May require some time and practice to master the sharpening technique

One stone for most uses

I carry this stone with me to keep my pocket knife sharp. A few strokes on each side of the blade and it becomes razor sharp. If you want a really sharp edge, start with that (soft, medium) and end with hard (thin), translucent (very thin), or black (ultra thin). But this medium-sized soft stone will meet 99% of your needs. Will buy again if needed but will likely last many, many years.

Pros
  • Supplied in a leather case for protection when not in use.
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Small but effective

It's small; I mean really few. This is my first stone from Arkansas, so I like it.. Kinda like a smaller and cheaper stone to try before paying for a bigger one. I have to say I will probably never go back to my synthetic stones, except for regrinding blades which have completely lost their sharpness.. A little Lansky oil, a little know-how and a steady hand and in no time you'll have an edge to be proud of.Very average edge, without much effort. The color has I'm impressed.I will probably buy…

Pros
  • The Soft Arkansas Pocket Whetstone is 3" long, 1" wide and 1/4" thick
Cons
  • Available in white only
