Very well made and durable. I started wearing an adjustable ratchet strap a few years ago. The one I had was made of "plastic skin" and started to crack. It still worked fine but was just starting to look rough. I'm impressed with the look of this belt, it's supposed to be leather so we'll see how well it holds up. The buckle is sturdy and the latch to open is better than my other. My original might come off if it gets caught on something. I highly recommend this belt.

I've never tried a ratchet belt but always thought they look very stylish. For this price it's definitely worth a try, even a buckle costs that much. If you are not too tall the ratchet works very well. This is such a cool design. Don't worry if the strap is too long, you can cut it off at the part that doesn't have a ratchet and is connected to the buckle. It is held in place with a spike clamp. I usually wear a hard Cobra release strap but for evening events it's just great!

Overall this belt was not what I expected from the picture of the belt. The subject's color is lighter (lighter tan) and the belt buckle is all black (contrasting blacks). I bought the belt because the buckle area looks chrome/silver in the picture and the belt itself is dark brown. Overall I'm disappointed because it doesn't match what I bought it for!

I have a waist size 38, I ordered size 42-44 and it fits perfectly without cutting. It appears to be real leather and is the same width as a regular belt. I didn't know straps were so easy to use when first using a ratchet strap. If I should have done this a few years ago, I would have saved a lot of money and felt a lot more comfortable. I ordered one in brown and I liked it so much I ordered another in black. Shipping was very fast and I am very happy with this purchase.
