Slightly smaller than the original but looks sturdier. Like other reviewers, my original pen cracked and I needed a replacement. Works great and I recommend!

Not a perfect fit but very snug, shorter than original and a tighter fit but it was the only replacement I could find online or anywhere else on the matter. I have had Miele vacuum cleaners for over 25 years and definitely appreciate a quality vacuum cleaner.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this item is slightly shorter and angled differently than the item it replaces, but it will fit your Miele vacuum perfectly and will snap into place perfectly. I accidentally used this item without the attachment for quick cleaning of outdoor porch carpet and concrete steps. I wore down the plastic until it ended up tearing and not holding the bits anymore. It costs money to get something that worked the first time.

I was glad to find this replacement because the sliding air vent on the old part broke and keeps falling off. Now I've taped it on, which makes it useless when I need to quickly turn off the suction. This replacement part is advertised as an original Miele part but is too large for the telescopic tube it is attached to.
