So this item is nice and well made (You will need to put a few screws to measure if this item is open or closed BUT it is not big enough for a baby. I don't know how others use it it for newborns, but I didn't make it.

Good small support. It was very difficult to assemble as there were no pre-drilled holes in the pieces and no instructions. The only reason I gave 3 stars was pretty shaky, but once I tightened everything up and added more support, everything works fine.

Not quite like the photo. The instruction wasn't in English so you need to figure out how to assemble it. It wobbles and doesn't sit properly. The two parts that have to be screwed to the carrier have no space to screw on. Doesn't fit like in the picture.

I bought it in April and unfortunately couldn't use it at the time. Now fast forward and try to use it. So not only are there no instructions so I had to look at the picture to make sure I was putting it together correctly, but also that it was poorly done. The pre-cut pieces didn't even fit together so I couldn't put them together. If I had the opportunity to return it I would, but my statute of limitations has already expired. All in all, this is a bad buy.
