Type of review

I'm always suspicious when Gillette starts changing something in the blade and design. This is a good inexpensive razor and I am wary of discounting the product or counterfeits which can catch on if you are not careful the value packs or boxes come out cheaper than most stores you might otherwise find. I love using it and I'm sure I could get more than one daily shave and throw it away if I could use it for 5 days while traveling.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost never

Good disposable razor

I don't like expensive razors with 5 blades and expensive replacement heads. Each nozzle ensures a good, smooth and comfortable shave for at least 10 uses. You don't have to worry about finding suitable refills as they are disposable. I use these and the Schick green handle disposables for about the same price. For a comfortable grip, I prefer the chic, but of course that's a personal choice.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • So far so good

18 razors for $13. Can't beat it!

I got my great grandfather's straight razor from the 1930's. Man I'm glad I never had to use his razor! I usually buy an inexpensive dual blade razor. For most of my adult life (I'm 66) I've bought Gillette disposable razors. I like 3 and 4 blade razors but they are overpriced and don't do much that these don't. I have to shave every day and these are usually enough for two shaves and in extreme cases three. The price here at Revain for 18 razors (about $13 after tax) is good so I'll buy them…

  • Handy part

  • A few cons

Inexpensive but effective

I shave my head. I've tried Gillette Fusion, Harry's (the best of the 5-blade razors), regular electric razors, and the rotating-head Monster Octopus 4 and 5, which are made just for shaving heads. I still shave best with Gillette dual-blade disposable razors. I can always use another method and then go over my head and face with a disposable razor and remove even more stubble that more expensive razors miss. And they're so cheap, you don't have to try and keep each blade longer than you need…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Only available in white

The ONLY shaver my husband will use

My husband has a VERY thick beard and mustache. He keeps her in a goatee, so he has to shave his neck and cheeks. It's the only razor he can use every day without irritation. He's tried every strip razor with three or four blades, but he keeps coming back to this one. I just hope with all the trendy blades Gillette keeps using this type and doesn't phase it out.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Long wait

Cons
  • Nothing here

Comfortable shave only once!

zero stars is more appropriate. Don't waste your money on these razors. I've been using Gillette dual-blade disposable razors for 40 years now, and that particular box with the "white" lubricating strip is either a Chinese-made counterfeit or inferior level 2 junk. The second time I went to shave it felt like a chainsaw on my face and it ripped my skin causing a rash for a week. I have a coarse beard and almost any razor will do, but not this pack. I will return to Gillette's "blue" glide strip

Pros
  • FIXED NON-ROTATING shaving head
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Big disappointment. These are not old Gillette Goodnews razors

I discovered Gillette Goodnews razors about 20 years ago and my quest for a decent shave was over. Then I bought a large stock about 7 years ago. They're running out, so I bought some more. BUT THESE NEW RAZORS ARE NOT THE SAME! My face is cut and shaving is very uncomfortable. Just for comparison I went back to the old Goodnews razor which I have shaved about 10 times. It was still MUCH better than the one I just bought. Gillette - what are you guys doing? Why take a really good product and…
