Don't buy this! in power strips and surge protectors

I don't know if it works or not. We were asked to buy this to install a webboost amp. Webboost doesn't work here. We sent it back with the amp and were told there were no refunds on this item! Don't buy it, you'll lose money!

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Will not fit Cell Phone Amplifier Cable

I ordered it as extra protection for Cell Phone Amplifiers but it only fits standard cables used in CATV, Dish & DirectTV. It doesn't work with cables used in phone amplifiers, so it's useless to me. Might be a good product for those who have the right cable for it.

Pros
  • Dream Come True
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Some issues with this product

Looks and feels like a well made product. There should be instructions on how to tighten the screw that holds the GDT in place. There should also be a warning that the screw doesn't reach the bottom. This product comes with only one GDT and no information on how to get a replacement. If you don't have spare parts, there are other built-in RG6 coax cable filters that are much cheaper.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • I'll write back later

The ISP said this is the cause of the weak signal

Installed this device and it worked fine for 5 days. Internet and telephone worked perfectly. Then on day 6, the internet was awful intermittently. The ISP tech came out and said he measured a very weak return signal on our cable. When he replaced that surge protector with his own, he measured the signal and it was strong again. He said that this device is definitely causing the problem. I don't know why this seemed normal for 5 days but I'm returning it as our internet and phones are down…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

This thing is a bit like a lightbulb – you plug it into an outlet and it either lets electricity through or it doesn't. not mine. Also, I had to redesign the connector because one of the F-connector's conductor holes was literally smaller than the RG-6's center conductor. After reconnecting, sawing the center conductor to the tip (making it too long) and carefully inserting it, I found it didn't pass any current either. F run? 67 channels. Overvoltage protection? 0 channels, 0 signals. Be…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So far, so good
