I hate writing bad reviews but I bought this for my 10 year old son and the clasp broke after 2 days. We managed to flip it over so he could still wear it and after a few days the piece connecting the pendant to the chain broke. He lost the star and the chain is junk. If you're buying for a child, spend the extra money and buy them a better item.

This is wonderful. I am Risa's son. He arrived two days later. For a man it looks great, for a girl I would recommend less. I looked up all of David's stars on Amazon and settled on this one. I do not regret it. I have to unzip it to put it on and I use an extension but it fits fine. It looks like pure gold. The star slides easily along the chain. This necklace is very large, good weight and thickness but too masculine for my taste. The dots on the asterisks are very sharp and have stung my skin while wearing it, creating an itchy feeling. The metal is shiny and the weight is good. The item was packaged in a nice yellow box with a cute ribbon but the chain was twisted on arrival. The curve was higher so I could hide it under my hair.
