Possibly the best cold weather paddling gloves I've ever owned

I've been looking for cold weather gloves for winter kayaking and finally found a winner. I have tried pogies and many neoprene gloves. Pogies are great for easy river walking if you don't expect rolling. However, if you roll the dice, the pogs will fill with water and get cold! Regular neoprene gloves are fine, but to stay warm they have to be quite thick, meaning you lose dexterity if they aren't articulated. You will get hand fatigue. I've also found that most of them slip a bit on the…

what did you do to them

We've been using glacier gloves as window cleaners for decades. The perfect curvature of the Glacier Glove is similar to previous versions, but the upper knuckle of the right glove in particular is too thick making this glove very uncomfortable to wear. The length of the ring finger and pinky is also about an inch longer. I have long arms and after giving the XL gloves I got last year to my husband who has thicker arms I ordered L this year. Not sure why they fit so oddly now, but I've found…

Kayakers - Better than any NRS gloves I've tried

I use these for kayaking in the winter (not a poga fan). I had them for a moderate rowing winter (November-March). When temperatures hit puberty and all your gear is covered in ice, these gloves will keep you warm. They are so easy and inexpensive. These are dry gloves so they are a little different from the neoprene gloves you might be used to. They have a fleece lining inside which looks great. Sometimes a little water oozes out when you immerse yourself in water, but that water heats up…

Terrible durability and low heat

Bought these for winter windsurfing in New England. The first time I pulled them out in 30 degrees I knew they wouldn't cut. The cuffs are fairly loose which means cold water can easily get in. Also, they don't offer much insulation at all. My hands froze very quickly and I was used to temperatures below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, these gloves started falling apart after a few sessions, so durability is a big issue, especially on the palms. On the other hand, if you buy them according to the…

Definitely dry, definitely strong. Buy quality earplugs.

I am an honest reviewer who REALLY used this product. I bought them for a 4 day motorcycle trip through wind, rain and snow. Speed from 40 to 85 miles per hour, temperature from 31 degrees Fahrenheit to 52 degrees Fahrenheit. 2 things in particular, my hands stayed 100% DRY and the gloves held up. No tearing or tearing with normal use. Remember that this is neoprene. So if you pull hard on a small part, it will tear. I ripped a tiny, tiny piece off the outside of the cuff. It was my fault for…
