The factory recommends reliability.

This type of clamp is recommended by some marine engine manufacturers because of its flat clamping surface when used on fuel lines.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Appearance

Made of hard plastic.

They are difficult to use. Maybe the big ones are easier to pinch, but the small ones are almost impossible to pinch, and not with your hands! The clips should have been made a bit more flexible.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Reliability

Many do not fit standard hose OD either too small or not tight enough

I bought these clamps to replace all the fuel lines and VRO lines on my Johnson outboard but they are metric and most of unsuitable for them. match the lines on my Johnson motor. They are either too small to fit over the gas line or, when compressed, do not adequately press the hose fitting against the hose fitting.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Mystery

Great price and great range!

I like the range of sizes for future use of this type of clamp. I used it on a hose installed by the automaker. I called the dealer and they wanted $14 for a clip. So why not buy a smaller pack?!

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • No instructions

Reef tank must have

If you are using a sump tank in a reef tank it will have at least 1 pump if not more. My stainless steel clamps were stainless steel but no screws, just clamps. Rust caused all sorts of problems. I found this a great solution. Non-toxic to fish and corals. Firmly holds braided vinyl tubing to pumps. No leaks, no chance of rusting and loads of extras for the future.

Pros
  • Strap clips
Cons
  • slightly dented

Easy to use! on Strap Clips

Possibly one of the best clips I have ever used, time will tell. The clamps are nylon so should not become brittle over time. Clamps provide 360 degree clamping force and are reusable (slide locked ends to sides (90 degrees of locked teeth)). You need multi-tooth pliers or clip-on pliers. I found a problem: there is no hose clamp for all sizes. No information on operating temperatures for nylon clamps. Very good price for the collar.

Pros
  • Power and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Out of Fashion
