Great value for storage and organization

I fell in love with Smoked Alder Sea Salt at Pike Place Market in Seattle. Vendors sell it in small pots at their stands for about $5 an ounce. Seattle Salt is the best product, but it's a very good interpretation. It's smoother, so you'll need to use more to get the same smoke flavor. However, the price is around 1/4 so it's good value for money. I also appreciate the cute little wooden spoon attached to the lid.

Cracked glass in storage and organization

Who knows if it was the manufacturer or the delivery. I don't know if it was tampered with or if something got inside. I threw it away, I cannot request a refund or exchange, even for a damaged item. I will not buy from this seller again. As for the taste, I wet my finger and dipped it to see if I liked it. I did not test it as Sriracha Sea Salt. It tasted like salty mucus.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Soaked Salt on Storage & Organization

This salt was cheaper than other brands so I thought I'd give it a try. It tastes good, but here's the rub: It has more moisture than other fleur de sels I've bought. This explains why they can lower the price. I love the fleur de sel (hence the stars) but didn't appreciate the price trick. It was also wetter than I would have liked - we couldn't sprinkle it because the wet crystals stuck together. If I left the lid open for a few days, it would dry out.

Pros
  • is clear even the old

Love the packaging

This is a really good buy. Salt tastes like salt and the jar with cork and spoon looks beautiful. I think it will be a good gift for a beginner cook. Edit 3/16/2018 Initial purchase and review was January 2017. When the salt arrives it will be a little damp in the jar. If you don't use it much, it will dry out and become a lump. I use a metal spoon to scrape something off when I feel like it. I still think this is a 5 star product.

Pretty jar, easy to use when cooking

This is our second jar of pink Himalayan salt. This in itself implies his good things. Not only is salt great for cooking, tastes great compared to regular table salt etc, but the little jar is truly amazing. Including two photos. One with a teaspoon and a coffee cup to show the size a bit. Secondly, this is a picture showing the product and using the wooden spoon that was included, which was a great accessory to keep right on the side of the jar. Perfect.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors

I like to use Le Saunier de Camargue Fleur.

I have been using Le Saunier de Camargue from Fleur de Sel for many years with pleasure. When I recently went to Revain to order this again I noticed this offer from SF Salt Company and thought I might give it a try. I'm glad I did. The texture and taste of the salt are significantly better than Le Suanier salt. And SF Salt has the added benefit of better packaging - Le Suanier uses a cardboard tub, while SF Salt uses a pretty glass jar with a handy serving spoon.

Pros
  • practical article
Cons
  • So far, so good

This review is from a single father of two

I've read a lot about salt flakes and decided to give this product a try. Although I haven't compared it to others, I have to say that my last two dishes, spaghetti with meat sauce and biscuits with sauce, tasted much better. Best thing I've ever cooked and as a single mom of two 7 days a week I cook a lot. I consider my cooking skills to be quite good and the taste of my dishes is praised in no small measure. But the taste intensified - that's the only way I can explain it. For the skeptics, I
