Global Art Folia Origami Paper: Crystal Embossed, Assorted Iridescent Colors - 50 Sheets, 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 Package Review

I love the texture and size of this paper, including the coloring, but the glitter isn't quite what I wanted or expected. They're too shiny and I can't quite figure out why the glitter isn't quite right.

The paper has a beautiful greenish yellow sheen and is textured on both sides although the back of each side is white. The package contains 10 different colors (5 of each). You can crease the paper sharply, although it usually wants to unfold a little if you fold it more than once.

I bought these as decoration for the annual event. You have to make several hundred origami creatures. Although it is a beautiful paper, it is very thick and does not hold creases well. After spending so much money on this I ended up using 2, throwing away 3 more, putting the rest aside and getting a different kind or origami paper.

Good paper, very well thought out and durable with a good range of colours. I should note that although it's advertised as 6" x 6" paper, it actually has 14cm squares, which is closer to 5.5". That's not a deal breaker for me, but it can can be a problem if you buy this paper together with other paper as 15cm is pretty standard for origami paper.The seller should change the name to 5.5" or just say 14cm.. I really like this paper for the following reasons: 1. The color is one-sided and very beautiful 2. It does not tear when folded, would tear the standard loose-leaf paper. 3. It comes in different colors. However, I have decided never to buy this brand of paper again and have deducted three stars because: a big difference in handling complex origami that has many folds.
