I bought this for my 5 year old and it's perfect. It's smaller but just what I would want a child to have, the reel handle locks in place and is solid, and it's not particularly easy for small hands to unlock. Matches perfectly with our frameless kite.

Bought this to use on my Tippicanoe sailboats which are free sailers. I tie the rod to the bow of the sailboat and let go. All I have to do is wind it up again when I'm done. I can fill in the line and start the boat and get it out when it's done or when needed.

While this is a great concept, every time the thread is slack it will fall out of the loop and get tangled. As long as you fly the kit and it's powered it's great! If you connect it to the kite and get ready to fly, it will get tangled.

Well made solid product but the handle is SO SMALL! I have small hands (I wear the "small" size with gloves) but I still can't hold it as intended, making it very difficult to use. Probably better for a child. Definitely not suitable for adult hands.

This is a game changer! Bought 1 and tried it immediately with my 5 year old. It was a hit! She could use it with minimal instructions. She even figured out how to use it with one hand! 10 year old tried it and loved it so I had to order 2 more.You can get nice growth with this. So much fun!
