Why felt floor? - Dishes and Serving Utensils

For beating egg whites this bowl is a disappointment. I didn't notice the felt floor before I bought it. I have no idea why it's there, but it diminishes the authenticity of the copper bowl and makes cleaning a chore! I bought through Home Depot and found some quality bowls. Now I'm whipping awesome egg whites!

It's beautiful and copper seems to be essential for some things baking

It was smaller than advertised but that's all I can comment on. I bought this for a friend of mine who had a food blog and was dying to have it. I'm not sure what it does or why it has to be copper. She loves it and knows about stuff like that so I'm guessing it's 5 stars.

Lovely Stable Copper Bowl

Lovely use this as a dog bowl after reading what dog bowls can grow. (Streptococcus etc.) I have a "fountain style" with a filter and you wouldn't believe how disgusting it gets and how quickly. The copper bowl, which is refreshed with spring water several times a day, is a complete success. My little prince prefers his copper bowl. And there may be neurological and other health benefits, along with antimicrobial and antibacterial effects. It's slightly larger and deeper than a regular cereal…
