📸 Godox AD-R6 169mm 7" Standard Bowens Mount Reflector for AD600 Series, MS Series & Aputure Amaran Lights Review

Reflector works as it should and accepts a standard 7 inch grid. the umbrella hole should be in the wrong position, a bit of work with a drill fixes the problem, but it's a pity to fix the manufacturer's mistakes.

Disclaimer: The product is exactly as I expected. My only issue here has to do with the shipping. It survived shipping but was shipped in the actual product packaging (see image), an easy-open hinged box that wasn't even sealed with tape. I'm not a fan of repackaged stuff but this was quite unexpected for me.

I was planning to use this reflector with the Godox AD-B2 dual flash adapter. The reflector fits the AD-B2 perfectly BUT the umbrella hole punched in the side of the reflector does not match the AD-B2 umbrella mount. So you can't use the AD-B2's reflector with an umbrella unless you want to drill an extra hole in the reflector.

I love this reflector. Use it with a 7" Pergear Diffuser and a Sto Fen Omni Bounce Diffuser. I experimented a bit and used it with a 7" Pergear Flash Diffuser on my flash to create a softer shadow line and more even diffused light .So.The mount on this one is a Bowens mount.It is not a Bowens ABC or D mount, just a Bowen mount.What you mount on this reflector can have a Bowens mount with an S type flash adapter , but the letter means what happens on the other side of the bracket.

2 year old update. Continues to work well with my S-type braces. But I also have a studio light with a reflector, which is a bit small and spreads more light than I need. And of course I want to use an umbrella. It was easy enough to drill a new umbrella hole in the reflector to match the studio light's Bowens position. Now I'm getting the effective light magnification from this flash that I wanted. original thoughts. This is a good reflector at a reasonable price. I use it with Speed Flares on

The umbrella hole does not match the umbrella hole on Godox S-Mount or AD-B2. AD600, don't believe it. It works as a reflector, but you have to drill a new hole to use the umbrella. Mine had the little flap snapped off anyway so I would have had to use reflective tape to use it. Fix this hole if I changed this thing. I think it was used and resold to be honest. so if it wasn't broken and works for Godox's own S-Mount material, it would otherwise be a very good reflector for the price!

Purchased to use with the Godox barn door kit for standard 7" reflectors. The barn doors do not fit properly because they are too small. I should have read the reviews.) I love that the umbrella fits through this reflector. I use it with my Godox AD600BM and have found that I can put my umbrella on it with no problem. This reflector alone doesn't do anything, but combined with a 7-inch diffuser it can provide reasonably good spread of outside light when it's just too windy for more. I'm fine on the mount and I've spread the light well on the white background (I've placed two AD600BMs behind the background (7x9) and managed to get a broadly even light on it…
