Although it is a natural organic material, it is still made from organic chemicals. These chemicals can cause an allergic reaction and a rash, especially since the directions say to leave them on your hair and scalp for 4 hours! Be vigilant and careful when purchasing this product. Many products are natural organic substances and cause severe allergic reactions. For example nuts, gluten, milk, but also poison ivy, poison oak etc.

The ones I received (Henna Nupur 9) are sealed well, but the expiry date is February 2019, so more than a year ago. I think this information should be mentioned in the description for people to decide. I will use it but I don't like shady ads.

3 expired products received - white sticker was pasted over the original maker's mark. I've used this brand for a while, but this one in particular wasn't very effective. After checking the packaging and unfortunately after closing the return window, I found that the best before date on the packaging had changed. I definitely expect more from Revain.

I have been using it for many years. I don't use regular henna because it doesn't have all the herbs like this one. If you have very porous hair, henna should be one of your staples. It's like a permanent protein treatment. This means it fills in the gaps in your hair permanently, unlike regular protein which only does this temporarily.

My friends and I used this to color our hair. This henna is just amazing. It stains EVERYTHING so be careful! I accidentally squirted some henna on my thumb while coloring my girlfriend's hair and washed it off after 10 minutes when I was done. The henna on my thumb left an orange stain that wouldn't wash off for over 3 days with frequent hand washing. The packaging was different but big. Our hair stayed red, as did my mother's hair. I loved the color it gave my hair but then had to use indigo to turn my mom's hair black again. If you like red hair/ends on your natural hair, go for it. The color appears on the previously colored part of the hair but is vaguely visible on natural black/brown hair.
