Does NOT work with padded boards

These are basically just larger versions of GoPro's sticky pads with a backup in case of failure. As usual with GoPro the quality is very high as is the price for what you are buying. I bought these as a beginner surfer but little did I know they wouldn't work with a softboard. It should work with any solid board, but it didn't stick to the board I was using at all, so it was a $12 waste on me.

Cameras and photos are not trustworthy

I have attached these bindings to 2 of my surfboards and both have come loose after one or more surfing sessions. The first time I was able to save my GoPro, but the second time I lost it. With a product like this you can only count on it sticking to the board, at least when the waves are as small as when you unbound (2-3 feet). I've had much better experiences with regular GoPro mounts.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Look elsewhere

Nice bracket. But when I tried fitting the black base into this mount, it turned out to be too tight. I struggled to free myself, first with my hands, then tools, and finally the only thing that worked was my teeth! Damn! I'm all for a strong mount, but it should be easy to remove. i will return this To update. Using an emery board, I sanded down the edges of the surfboard mount so the black base wasn't as tight. Everything is fine now with a little tweaking.

Pros
  • Quality finish
Cons
  • No instructions

The first one fell off in the first 24 hours

I bought them before Thanksgiving and put one on my Surftech surfboard. The next day I took my board and camera to the cape and cruised along the beach for about 5 feet. During a wave, my body hit the GoPro and the camera fell off immediately. In the end he was saved thanks to a safety line but my board received a pleasant sound from the camera hitting it. I've seen a lot of surfers, both amateur and pro, use them, so they might work fine until they bump, but be aware that you might or might…

Ignore good reviews. You can still keep your GoPro.

I saw all the good reviews and bought the product. I washed the boogie board with rubbing alcohol and glued on the mount and safety mount. I also put a heavy book on it for a few hours. The next day I took it out to test without a GoPro. The large bracket with the pro broke within 25 minutes. The smaller bracket, which is a fuse, came loose after 10 minutes. Luckily I didn't connect my GoPro because I was waiting for the Flowy to arrive. I've surfed three foot waves, not even crazy conditions…

Pros
  • Great for me

So far, so good! Best accessories for tripods and monopods

Googled bro want to show everyone how cool you are? Of course you, why else are you watching them. Use these baddies to attach your Go Pro for epic footage. Be sure to follow the directions and allow the glue the allotted 24 hours to stick to your board. I didn't and almost lost my Go Pro as a result. Luckily I attached the float and took out my camera. After following the instructions and giving the mount the proper amount of time to attach to my board I have had no other disasters with my Go…

Pros
  • All right!

Don't believe it 100%

Full 2 star deduction for the assembly instructions - there are none. I can understand why some reviewers have lost their GoPros (I use them with my Sony AS100V) when they just slam them down on the board and bang into the waves. You need to clean the boards and let the glue dry for 24 hours. I knew what to look for because I saw lost camera reviews and searched the GoPros website for instructions (I also found a YouTube video). But how can they pack these mounts without instructions? On the…

Keep yourself at your best with accessory

So far there have been no problems with these mounts. From the County Line, Ventura and Oxnard to the Central Coast; until none of the fasteners have come loose. I will update after the summer once we start our north swell if there are any issues but no issues so far. PS: On my winter boards I also put a fiberglass and resin sheet over the bindings and left the camera slot open. If I encounter any waves that break it I would have a hard time blaming the mountain as glazing would mean the wave…
