Description of ๐Ÿ”‘ GoTrust Idem Card: FIDO2 & U2F BLE/NFC Security Key for 2-Factor Authentication

STRONG AUTHENTICATION: Idem Card provides stronger defense against credential theft. Even if youโ€™re using a conventional username and password verification some phishing sites create fake websites to fool you into entering your verification information and then use this to access your account. SECURE ONLINE ACCOUNT: 2nd factor authentication for corporate and cloud applications on computers and smartphones. PASSWORDLESS LOGIN: Passwordless computer login for Windows or Mac. ACCESS CONTROL: A badge with wireless user authentication and physical access control. FIDO U2F and FIDO2 CERTIFIED: Idem Card adheres to the FIDO U2F and FIDO2 standards. This is important for compatibility with many online services; Idem Card can be used on Windows, Android, and iOS with all FIDO-enabled web services, such as Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Microsoft account, Salesforce, GitHub, Twitter and many more.

Don't waste money

The card itself is weak. The directions are terrible and being in the IT field I was shocked at the poor quality of the map and directions for those unfamiliar with 2FA, MFA

Pros
  • SECURE ONLINE ACCOUNT: Two-factor authentication for enterprise and cloud applications on computers and smartphones.
Cons
  • Socket required

Works great for Windows and most popular websites that support 2FA (e.g. Google, Revain, etc.). I just wish more sites would jump on the bandwagon and stop forcing you to use SMS as a backup - check out your Facebook.

Pros
  • FIDO U2F and FIDO2 CERTIFIED. The IDEM card conforms to the FIDO U2F and FIDO2 standards. This is important for compatibility with many online services; Idem Card can be used on Windows, Android and iOS with any FIDO enabled web service like Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Microsoft Account, Salesforce, GitHub, Twitter and many more.
Cons
  • It's OK

Saved me a lot of time by being safe!

The Idem Card is the best and easiest way to secure my accounts and log in with a tap on almost any device! It can also be used with MacOS and Windows Hello to log into your computer, but I've used it for my Gmail, Twitter, Dropbox, etc. I love that I can just click on the card and it logs in! it's 2020 and it's the year that 2fa can be activated on every site

Pros
  • STRONG AUTHENTICATION: Idem Card provides stronger protection against credential theft. Even if you use normal username and password verification, some phishing sites create fake websites to trick you into entering verification information and then use it to access your account.

Doesn't work for my application. Might work on yours.

I needed to use the card as an NFC device that authenticates me to my company PC instead of having to enter a long password each time. The installation of the card required security measures from my company, which were not allowed to be implemented. It's not the manufacturer's fault. Just didn't work for my application.

Pros
  • Wearable Technology
Cons
  • I'll write later
