We installed these lights according to directions and found that a small area remained lit even when the light was off. Then while the power was still off. The section burst, catching fire, the strip melted and the room filled with smoke. If consumers have them installed under or around a bed or other flammable location, I advise you not to leave them unattended while connected to a power source.

These lights come in great packaging, love the 2 link arrangement, they can be split in half under the bed and it looks great. Setup with the app was very easy, the scenes are really cool, and the microphone and music sensitivity are great. I really like these lights, very easy to connect and set up. The controller is one of the best I've seen. The app is good and responsive. I have an expensive Phillips Hue kit and cheap LEDs with IR controllers, this kit beats both, it's really good!

Please note first that there are 2 versions of these lights, one with Alexa support, the other without. I bought a light without Alexa support without realizing it. I contacted the company to see if I could just purchase the Alexa version of the controller and was told no. Pros: very easy to install. Peel off the 3M tape and stick it on. I think it's a well made product but I'm incredibly disappointed with the software modes. It's incredibly boring. I was expecting something more dynamic, like the LED strips in my computer. Basically, it has six monochromatic modes and then three or four dynamic modes that only work based on music. As soon as you launch the app I was expecting to see hundreds and hundreds of really cool color modes and displays so I could use them to decorate for the holidays, but again it's just really boring…

WOW! Where to start! I chose these lamps because of the description "dream color". I bought these lights for my OUTDOOR PILLAR LAMP IN MY FRONT YARD. If you are buying this strip to have a continuous 32.8ft LED backlight, you are not buying it. I also bought LED strip extensions because I wanted to start a long strip 10 feet from the outlet. but extensions won't work with this strip because these LEDs aren't like most. The problem is that the most common LED strips have 4-pin connectors. That's 3 pins. This means that no adapter or extension cord I could find will work with these LED strips, nor does this listing say they are different pins.
