Not Impressed: Shortwave Radios

I wasn't impressed with either the build quality or the setup. The sound quality was ok and the price was good. Check out my full review on my YouTube channel ID=hamrad88.

It's not worth it. suitable for short wave radios

I have nothing good to say. I live in San Diego so reception isn't the easiest, but this radio received almost nothing. Voting is difficult. The turntable is not accurate and bounces everywhere, so it's difficult to get an accurate station (like 1090). It jumps between 1087 and 1095. This is not a true digital setting. Don't be fooled by the digital dial.

Pros
  • confidence inspiring
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Has stopped working after 8 months

I liked that it's small, with a digital face and AC powered, which saves batteries. Stopped working in less than 8 months. The connection to the power supply seems to be faulty. Gpx will not refund my money as the 90 day guarantee has expired. However, Revain will refund my money for the purchase. Revain makes the customer happy.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

disappointed best in radios

Unfortunately it didn't work out right from the start. The volume control was loose and was either too low or too high. But worst of all was the station selector, which was almost never "stable" - meaning: it didn't fix a station and didn't keep that fix. I ended up having to send it back - problems can only happen with this radio and may not be the norm and/but this was the only one I tried and I won't risk it again.

The clock is not displayed when the radio is on.

This was my fourth attempt at a portable clock radio. All I needed was a clock radio so I could hear and keep track of my time. I have previously bounced 3 emails that did not meet these criteria. And this one too. In radio mode, the radio channel is displayed. When switched off, the clock is switched on. I gave up when the UPS office started recognizing my car. I put a travel clock next to the radio.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

This is a good stick in case of power failure

I bought this portable radio for my family for Christmas. It is a good staff in case of power failure. Looks good, sound is good. It came on time. Everything is good except that the radio only worked for 5 minutes and stopped immediately when it was on the table. My husband and I are engineers and scientists and we were curious as to what could be the reason for such a simple thing that has been known for a century. So we opened it. The reason is the power connection, which is installed…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Bad design. best in radio

Ok this is a cheap radio so don't expect much but. First, the antenna is short and doesn't fold, so you have to stick it into the radio. This means that when you pull it out, you will most likely pull too hard and break the end. Second, if you have long nails, forget about pulling out the carry handle. To do this, you need some kind of tool. Third, and most annoying, is the location of the power plug. Even if they tried, it couldn't have been placed in a more uncomfortable place. You can't tune

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • weight
