High quality headset

Replaces 125. The headset is more durable and comfortable. Other features appear to be comparable, but I think the upgrade is worth it.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

My old SR80 broke and I took the SR225x as a replacement

And I had a Bose QC35 and an Airpod Pro. The SR225x is undoubtedly the best of them all. While it may not give you the portability and calling features of other wireless headsets, it serves me most of the time in front of my desk today. All I have to do is move the pads forward a little to put more pressure on my cheeks instead of my ears, and I can enjoy music from the SR225x for 4 hours or more with glasses on. It's just too hot with the QC35 and the Airpod Pro just can't deliver the same…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Long time

High quality handcrafted headphones at a great price.

This is fantastic quality for the price. My first pair of quality headphones - so I wanted something with great sound but wasn't ready to jump in and spend more. I love that they are handmade in the USA. I'm sure other reviewers will point out that this is best used in the home by people with quality audio systems. I've listened to some of the less expensive Grados and they just didn't have the balance I was looking for, too much mids and highs, not enough bass. This model got me hooked.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Damaged

These are professional in-ear headphones for music producers.

the price matches the sound quality. High level of detail with reduced fatigue. A little more clarity, zero distortion and great sound. These are definitely not bass player headphones. It will correctly reproduce the original sound across the spectrum, revealing details that transcend most. More expensive Grados are said to produce warmer bass. If the warmth of the extra bass is very important to you then I would check that before moving on to these because once you've bought the Grados nothing

This is the sound I was looking for.

Wow! I've been desperately looking for interesting headphones for a long time. I've always been curious about the Grados, but their reputation for "loud" and shoddy bass put me off. Well I'm really glad I took the plunge as the time I've had with them so far has been really exciting. They don't lack bass, they're just so good at everything else that the bass is overshadowed. To be honest, the guitars and vocals sound as amazing to me as if I had neglected the full spectrum of sounds for years…

Pros
  • Heavy workmanship
Cons
  • Bad impression
