Review on 🎧 GRADO SR225x Prestige Series Open-Back Stereo Headphones with Wired Connectivity by Vincent Blitz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the sound I was looking for.

Wow! I've been desperately looking for interesting headphones for a long time. I've always been curious about the Grados, but their reputation for "loud" and shoddy bass put me off. Well I'm really glad I took the plunge as the time I've had with them so far has been really exciting. They don't lack bass, they're just so good at everything else that the bass is overshadowed. To be honest, the guitars and vocals sound as amazing to me as if I had neglected the full spectrum of sounds for years. It was very exciting to have her review some of my favorite musical compositions. Classic Metallica, Tool, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk never sounded so good. I can easily imagine which instruments are being played, each clearly defined. I also find them surprisingly analytical despite their intuitive sound. Records like Pet Sounds really show their age but I can deal with that. For the record, I've had Hifiman 400i, Nuraphone (don't laugh), Sennheiser 598 and 580, Audio Technica M50x, Beyerdynamic 770 and many others. ems. They definitely stand out as something special. You'll have to experiment with their fit to get the best sound, the cable is quite heavy and the ear cups take a little getting used to, but I still give them 5 stars and encourage anyone new to Grado sound to try them out.
