I like the GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE products in general. However, I smell neither mocha nor caramel. If you want to smell like you woke up in a theater face first in a bucket of buttered popcorn, then this is for you. I almost freaked out the first time I smelled it. I have never tried beard balm or beard oil. I like the smell and don't find it overpowering at all. It makes my beard look better but a few mustaches stick out but that might be because my beard was never exercised as it never got that long. I was trying this brand of beard oil for the first time and was very excited because I love coffee flavored oils and adding caramel sounded interesting. I was very disappointed when I took my first breath. I didn't really notice much of a coffee smell, more of a super sweet fake chocolate chip cookie smell. Wow! Amazing taste! A little definitely makes a big difference! This is definitely a scent that women will love (especially if they are caramel and coffee lovers). So far every fragrance I've tried from GBS has been great. It's definitely all moisturizing (helps a lot if you're using GBS Shampoo/Conditioner) and the balm helps keep the hair that has a mind of its own in check! I have eczema which is triggered by even the slightest growth of facial hair. Bad - like a hot red rash, scaly, terrible eczema. However, a strict twice-daily application of this balm along with Aveeno Eczema Cream both times and a liberal dosing of oil before bed will keep it under control.
