The price was decisive for me, I tried it out and ordered it, hoping it would be great. One cartridge worked (black) and the other didn't (color). The printer would not tell upon visual inspection, part of the ribbon film on that particular cartridge was bent. Not only did Revain let me return the non-working one, so I had to return both, but with no further problems and very quickly (one day). I received a replacement set and both worked great.

After reading several positive and negative reviews, I hesitated to buy it. You know the old adage, you get what you pay for? So I bought these and my husband installed them with no problems, the test page printed perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Having spent about $100 on name brand cartridges in the past, I couldn't bring myself to buy them again. I am pleased to report that I have had a very positive experience with these cartridges. Worth a shot as they allow returns.

The price is great, but I had the same problem as other buyers, not recognizing the printer. No tips were sent or included with the cartridges. I have an old HP F4200 and I use 60 black and color. What you need to do for the printer to recognize and work: First, with the device turned on, remove the cartridges from the printer and close the device. I have been buying HP printer ink from Office D**** for many years. I hope I only have to pay $60, but it's often around $100. I found this product and as someone who recycles daily I had high hopes it would work for 1/3 the price. It came in a nice box (which has been redesigned) and installed. My Envy printer warned me I was installing a used cartridge - I clicked OK. The print is exactly like new. I will never buy a new one again. THANK YOU for the product!

I should have trusted my intuition. The black worked, but the color was never recognizable and eventually had to come back and be branded. Edit to add: I'm changing my star rating from one star to four. As always with Revain, customer service has been fantastic! They sent me another set to exchange and it was delivered the next day.
