Good price, good quality burlap.

Good value for money! Yes, upon opening it smells strongly of factory. I put it in the fresh air for 3 days, then steam smoothed out the wrinkles. It no longer smells and the skirt hangs nicely on the bed. Barely touches the floor (easy to vacuum)

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Nice, butโ€ฆ the smell, not very good

I have other sackcloth things and they don't smell. The bed skirt I received smelled of fuel/oil even after trying to air it, even outside. Maybe luck is what you get? The style is cute and it was what I was looking for but not when it's toxic in my home. Returned. I will search.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Cute but SMELL, OMG

This bed skirt looks very nice and is well made. However, it has intense chemistry (like WD-40 on steroids) and I have no idea how to get it out. I hope this resolves with time as the instructions say dry clean only. Tried Febreeze, didn't help. Windows open, fans on. Hoping for a "miracle".

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not messy like some sheets, well sewn and tailored

Great job! This is as close to burlap as you can get. It is well made and adjusted. I also appreciate that it wasn't so long that I had to pin most of it up to get it to a good length. I would say I had to pin about half an inch on the feather so it would hang like you see in the photos.

Pros
  • Special
Cons
  • Crumpled

think again - Linen

This product smelled of petrol as soon as I opened it. The smell was so strong it was overwhelming. I didn't want to return the item because I thought it needed to be washed. Come and find out you can't wash it - only dry clean - but that won't help get rid of that strong odor. I tried to hand wash the item but the smell got into the fibre. I would say choose another item or leave it out for a long time.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Something else

Similar to Ballard but much cheaper!

This item sells for over $100 in specialty stores. So when I saw it here for a fraction of the price, I was afraid the workmanship or the fabric would be cheap. Not at all! It's really well made and heavy enough to fall nicely. The corners are open rather than inverted pleats like some bed skirts, but I hand-stitched them lightly on the inside to keep the corners "closed" and it looks great.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Repair

Perfect look and fit!

I LOVE this skirt! It fits perfectly and the corner slots match my bed frame perfectly. (I usually have to cut and hem skirts.) I had to adjust the mattress a bit after putting it over the skirt and it didn't slip or lock up like other skirts, which is usually very annoying. This one stayed in place! There were dents due to the packaging, but these could be repaired. I plan on steaming mine. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Expandable

It smelled so bad my throat hurt

I can't imagine anyone can stand the smell coming from this skirt. Not only is it an annoying smell to get used to, it's an unhealthy (IMHO) smell. It seemed to me that I had inhaled toxic fumes and even started to cough. I wish he wasn't in the bedroom. Couldn't the manufacturer soak it first to get rid of that smell, or else issue some sort of warning? Would I recommend it unscented? Yes, it is not carelessly sewn, but natural material is more useful.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Too long to wait
