A way to wear out quickly

Greenworks or a third party should make a stronger pin. I have a small property in town and am ordering my third set to finish the straw removal. They work great when brand new, they wear out quickly along the length and the spring mechanisms wear out. It might be worth using carbon steel instead of stainless steel (better wear resistance) and heat treating it to make it harder (longer life).

Pros
  • A wide range
Cons
  • Almost everything is

I replaced the teeth and ordered a replacement

I love Greenworks tools! I have 4 types of Greenworks outdoor units: separator, blower, chainsaw and brush cutter. Only my detocher is mains powered and not battery powered, but I still really like it. The teeth have worn down in recent years and it takes some effort to replace them, but they are worth it. I just wish it was battery operated and not wired.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Something different

Bought together with the supplied electric scarifier.

bought together with the electric puller, it came in extra packaging so I have extra extra packaging now. Be careful if you buy a scarifier and take it with you, not realizing that it comes with an extra set along with the teeth already installed. You can save a few bucks by not blowing out the tines. I managed to finish my lawn without losing a tine. User skill will alter your results.

Pros
  • Cool item
Cons
  • Expensive

pay attention to the diagram

I think a lot of the bad reviews on this are due to the installation. Got new teeth last year. The yard worked great but as soon as I got to the back yard they didn't work. Find out it was my fault. I installed them backwards. There is actually a small picture of where the prongs go. Be sure to pay attention. This will help the teeth last longer and function properly. I even watched videos on the internet and people installed them wrong.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

THIS IS A DEFECT - Do not buy.

The bottom set is the original teeth. They have been in use for about 1 1/2 hours, they are worn out and no longer remove thatch properly. See how they are all just worn and not broken. The middle set is the first set of replacement teeth that I put in. After about 20 minutes of use they all broke. The set that is on the machine is the 2nd set of replacement pins. AFTER 10 MINUTES 80% OF THE TEETH ARE BROKEN. Note that installing these replacement parts takes about an hour. DO NOT RECEIVE…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
