Save your money and invest in a better rig. The GRIPT Secure Smartphone Rig is an overpriced and unstable accessory that doesn't live up to its promises. Through trial and error, I found that this rig isn't compatible with all electronics and is prone to tipping over. The only pro is the sleek design, but it's not worth the price tag. Don't waste your money on this camera accessory.

I've tried several plastic grips/mounts, call it what you will. This is the best of the best! NO cheap plastic. I think it's aluminum as it's not magnetic. I plan to use this for a lot of fun things with my phone. Instead of spring tension, use a screw to tighten it to the phone. I feel much more comfortable with that than with the cheap plastic ones. Excellent smartphone holder, maybe the best. However, I don't think it's a particularly high value. Think about what it does, it holds your smartphone and allows you to mount it on a 1/4" or 3/8" tripod and it has a strap to stabilize your shots. That's all.
