Description of Grumbacher Pre Tested Paint Ounce P203G

A deep, intense, yellow-undertone blue with an iridescent sheen; Very powerful tinting strength can overpower mixes and should be used in small amounts. Brilliant greens can be achieved when mixed with cool yellows like Bismuth or Zinc; Semi-opaque, small amounts create beautiful, complex glazes; Extremely dark in masstone, can be used as a cool black. Each color swatch has been tested for masstone, mixability, lightfastness, drying properties, pigment dispersion and viscosity. Truly a professional paint, the majority of our colors are single pigment, and have a lightfast rating of 1-excellent. Pre-tested Professional offers artists a modern palette with superior tinting strength and is made in USA.

Vibrant Color and Smooth Application

As an avid ARTIST in Arts and Crafts, I have tried many paints over the years. This one, however impressed me with its vibrant color and smooth application. The consistency is just right, not too thick or too thin. It blends well and dries to a matte finish. The only downside is that it might take a bit longer to dry, but the result is worth the wait. Overall, I highly recommend this product to any artist looking for quality paints..

Pros
  • High-quality paint
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other brands

Too thin, more profitable, less relevant color

Almost all standard Grumbacher oils are clear diluted, so if you are a watercolourist these colors will become you you like it, I paint oils using the classic technique and I no longer buy Grumbacher products, if I wanted watercolor I would buy watercolor paints - they're cheaper! FYI you can mix putty with some Windsor oils to thicken it. Otherwise, Grumbacher Oil Colors are no better than Rune Slime!

Pros
  • Really professional color, most of our colors are single pigment and have lightfastness 1-excellent
Cons
  • Available in white only
