Fall arrest for added safety

Ordered for a truck-mounted crane electrician harness. For now we can only assume they work as no one has crashed yet. Apparently well done. Of the 5 or 6 brands of straps we have locally, the Guardian is the most popular.

Pros
  • Single-leg lanyard with energy absorber
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

I really needed a safety device that wouldn't hurt.

A safety device was badly needed that would not damage the vessels in the groin if it worked. Never had an issue resulting in either of them jumping off the leash. Just knowing the boys were safe was all that mattered. Sold the lift and the new owner also wanted a harness.

Pros
  • 3 feet long
Cons
  • Some insects

and that's good. But I ignored it and had to do it.

Be very careful when receiving the lanyard. Part of it is enclosed in a plastic case. You might be tempted to open it. Not. There is a warning on the case not to open it, which is good. But I ignored it and had to make my own case. I used this when I was painting the house and used an elevator that I rented. I would never want to draw without this as a backup in some places. Take about an hour to figure out how to wear it. There are helpful videos online showing how it works. it's not…

Pros
  • Nylon webbing is light and strong
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Safety First with Personal Protective Equipment

A 3ft shock absorbing lanyard was purchased to avoid a potential fall hazard as I was working over 6ft off the ground and wearing the lanyard gave me the confidence to carry out their work effectively without worrying about falls and subsequent injuries.

Pros
  • Safety
Cons
  • Crumpled
