They do their job for blue light goggles

I have to say they work. My eyes feel way better than usual after a long gaming session. The yellow tint isn't too crazy and I forgot it was there pretty quickly. Zooming also helped. I use very large in-ear headphones and have been able to use them without too much trouble, but you have to position them correctly. They just don't strike me as $80. The frame is metal, which I think is good, but they are very thin. The lenses stick out almost comically at the back, with the vast majority of them

Favorite Gunnar glasses so far

I spend most of the day in front of a screen. Before I bought blue light glasses, I would come home after work, play for hours, and my eyes would hurt and my brain would feel bad when I slept. My friends and I called it "playing all night" because while I slept it felt like I was still playing and it was a horrible dream. Almost everything disappeared when I started wearing computer glasses and after shopping I found Gunnar. I started with an intercept which I liked but they didn't fit my face…

Eye strain is different

So this product has helped my chronic headaches BUT I've been using it for 3 months and the magnification has really distorted my distance vision. It has gotten progressively worse over the past 3 months and I wasn't sure why. I don't wear glasses anymore and I'm having such a hard time looking at the screen (I have a monitor with eye strain mode I wasn't aware of so I turned it on) and now I'm having a hard time concentrating on text/ My eyes water, but if I do it again I put glasses on, the…

Beautiful but a bit heavy

Glasses are solid and well made. I use them at work to help with overhead light and screen glare. Even with my laptop and screen set to night mode, it's still too bright and these glasses are still great for cutting. The magnification on the glasses is low, I would say between 0.75 and 1.00. The only thing I didn't care was how heavy the glasses were. I had to play with the nose piece until it stopped digging into the bridge of my nose. I have to take my glasses off regularly to give my nose a…

Unadvertised quality Gunnar

I work in optometry and have relatively low frame and lens requirements compared to most people in my field as my patients have told me about the different markings that People have on glasses that they will wear. These are the cheapest and thinnest frames I've ever handheld or worn. First, the headphones are too thin for the material used. Second, the lenses don't even fit properly in the frame (they move and are thicker than the frame itself). Third, the nose pads are the cheapest kind, not…

Skeptical but now a believer

So I was initially unsure about the quality of these glasses based on other reviews that claimed they were flimsy and cheap. In my experience all Gunnar Optics have "cheap" frames. The frames are actually well built and hold the lenses in place, but the "arms" or temples of the glasses are flimsy (still strong, but I can see others would call them cheap). In fact, this is done on purpose and is not a design flaw. This is done so that the glasses sit more comfortably under the earcups of the…

Pretty decent: Blue light goggles

For the price I expected a little more. I read other reviews and decided to give it a try. The lenses zoom in a bit, have an amber tint as if you've used night mode on your iPhone, and they don't cause much discomfort. I have a large head and although they stretch to fit different head shapes they feel a bit uncomfortable. As they stretch to fit, it feels like they're constantly wanting to "push" and "stretch" away from my eyes. Gets annoying. Also, many say they help with dry eyes. I wouldn't…

Ideal for contact lens wearers

Summary: I've had the Gunnar "Razer RPG/Onyx" glasses for almost a year and still wear them every day at work and at home. The build quality is excellent and I would recommend a pair to target those who wear them, either under experience or trying to prevent eye strain. I still prefer my Gunnars to regular glasses when it comes to eye strain, but there's not a huge difference. 2) The glasses are very comfortable. I've been wearing on-ear headphones for a long time without any problems. After a…
