One of the best DACs

Wow, this DAC exceeded my expectations. Having tried many DACs from mid-fi to high end, I can say with confidence that even at $1000 more, this is my favorite. Excellent resolution and transparency with no digital glare. Full meaty sound and holographic. Easily beats qutest, D90S and a few dnafrips.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No paint needed

The One to Beat - Amplifiers

X26Pro is definitely a step forward in terms of reliability in my system. This is most noticeable in the treble/treble range of the upper midrange where snare drum, hi-hat cymbals and percussion instruments are found. Defined, lean and more refined. This and more mid-range instrument and vocal definition. The bass digs deep but maintains density. Finally, it's still an early listen, but the channel separation with the still holographic/3D soundstage really stands out. NAS > Gustard x26Pro…

DAC costs more than it sounds!

Wow! This DAC sounds amazing. I returned a DAC that cost three times as much as this one and it blows it away! Get ready to listen for hours without the harshness and clarity you can't imagine! Yes, this is a great DAC. Not perfect but it's great!

ok im new to hifi but i know what i like and i can say i like this DAC! Sound on the right channel, and it's the best DAC I've heard to get such a crisp and clear sound. However, I can say that if you are not happy with the dual-chip design, you can get by with a cheaper DAC, or if you don't like the sound presentation of the ESS Saber chip, maybe an AKM chip DAC will do you happy. /PC USB Audio OutDAC (formerly DACMagic 200m) now X26 Pro XLR Out AZUR851a XLR Out Power Amplifier AZUR851w KEF…
