🧵 Gutermann Sewing Thread - All-Purpose Black - 547 Yards Review

I love sewing with Gutermann thread. I use it for fashion fabrics and silk thread for bobbin lace. It's durable and beautiful.

I have bought several different yarns over the years but this remains my favorite so although it may be more expensive than others I am sticking with this one in the future . .

At first I didn't think there was a big difference with something like threads because it's thousands of years old, but there is a . Newer sewing machines are so complicated and delicate that using good quality thread makes life easier.

Coats and Clarks (good) - not Gutermann - also 1 spool -400 yards NOT 587 yards - NOT ACCURATE. So not as advertised and I spent $10 for a roll. At least just put 2 coils in to get it right as it is listed as stock. busy time for seamstresses.

I've read that this is a material used to make hammocks and other outdoor gear from ultra-light modern ripstop materials and that's 100% true. Works flawlessly with a 60/8 ultra fine needle to keep the holes in the fabric as small as possible. The item is in good condition, no tears, breaks etc. No lumps in the thread. A good thing.
