just LOVE it! in the kitchen and dining room

Received this today and filled it with my 12 pieces of silver and miscellaneous. portion pieces. I am pleased. I could put my good cutlery in the kitchen drawer where I would actually use it and get rid of the heavy wooden chest I kept in the closet. It's larger than I expected and still has room for other items. It actually holds more than one chest!

Pros
  • I've always loved it
Cons
  • Good but not great

Extends the time between polishing

This liner significantly slows down the tarnishing process. Of course, nothing other than vacuuming prevents tarnishing 100%, but after almost 18 months my silver is looking pretty good. The dishes at the top of the stack are slightly dull, but the ones at the bottom are still shiny. I would consider this part of a full anti-tarnish strategy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Soft silver chest for storage and organization

I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a wooden chest. This drawer insert is suitable for a lot of silver, it protects the silver and the soft cover is well made and hassle-free. It also saves space. I highly recommend this product! I also use silver protective strips and have done so for a long time. They protect against additional tarnishing and are very inexpensive. This zipper protector has a very strong base and is wrapped in a silver protective fabric, making it very comfortable to

Very good storage for your precious silver

I bought two of these. I couldn't tell what a "deluxe edition" was, so I bought a "standard edition". Very happy with it - it's perfect as a drawer insert if you don't want to use up the space for a bulky storage chest. I use one for the slab and the other for the sterling. There is enough space to serve 16 people and serve portions. Time will tell if the fabric offers tarnish protection, but it's better to store it in a box or canvas cutlery bag. Rigid back makes it very convenient to carry…

Hagerty cutlery drawer insert with zip

Today I received the Hagerty cutlery drawer insert with zip. I wanted something compact, not wooden cutlery boxes. Easily accommodates my 8 person service, plus 4 serving utensils and a butter knife, ideal with enough space. You can actually stack the 16 serving into the fork/spoon slots as you can see in one of my photos. The knife slots are very narrow, but I was able to fit the shaft of a table fork through them. The bottom is a fabric covered piece of plywood about 1/8 inch thick. Very…

Does not prevent fading!

I ordered this item 3 years ago to store my Reed & Barton silver overflow set that didn't fit in my silver trunk. I spent a long time cleaning/polishing my cutlery before putting it in this insert in my linen cupboard. When I recently took it out I was shocked to find that all the cutlery was badly tarnished. My silver chest (acquired in 1985) for my original eight year ministry kept these furnishings completely unsullied for 35 years. But this drawer liner didn't hold its contents for three…
