Description of ๐ง Hakko PNB 2005 Long Nose 45 Degree Serrated: Versatile Precision Tool for Delicate Tasks
Long pointed-nose pliers with 1.2mm width and 45-degree angled jaws for general purpose electronics applications. 32mm serrated jaw with precision-ground surfaces provides smooth operation. Flat outside edge eases access to recessed or component-dense areas. Dolphin-style nonslip hand grips provide comfort and control, and curved fore-edge protects hands from cutting surfaces. 3mm heat-treated carbon steel construction provides durability and long life, and Parkerized surfaces prevent glare and increase corrosion resistance.
I thought I received the wrong product but I noticed that the photo in the description was taken from above which incorrectly shows what it is. Usage is ok, nothing special.
Just what I was looking for to use with the smaller chainmail rings. Finer tips make it easier to work with tight tissues. Should have spent money on this a long time ago instead of wasting it on some bad pliers that aren't nearly as well made.
I thought I had received the wrong product but I understand the photo in the description was taken from a top down angle which doesn't quite show what it is. Use is normal, nothing special.
Pros
The flat outer edge facilitates access to niches or areas with many components
These are my favorite pliers for cleaning support materials on 3D printed parts and I have several of these now. I like that the jaws are serrated and have a good grip. The edges are clean and straight, good for grabbing large pieces when needed. Of course they are also suitable for other things! The spring could be a bit stronger, but it works.
Pros
32mm serrated jaws with precision ground surfaces for smooth operation
Pliers have excellent shape but the material is quite prone to bending, metal fatigue and eventual breakage. The pliers probably need strengthening on the legs and bends near the rivets as that's where most of them broke. The quality of the steel is also worth considering. This is probably the most ergonomic drill removal tool I have ever seen. Doesn't handle offensive handlers very well. Most of the several hundred tongs died horribly after only six months.
Pros
Needle nose pliers with 1.2mm wide pointed jaws and 45 degree angled jaws for general purpose electronics
