Accurate Electrical Replacement

Installation was easy. The block arrived in good condition. Good if it is delivered to your home. The few that stayed in the store were bowed.

Best on the housing

Very well finished recessed light. I have used this many times in the past and find the quality to be top notch. Getting the correct hole saw for the installation helps a lot. After that it's easy.

Pros
  • Brilliantly finished
Cons
  • No power

Not good for IC: recessed lights

This lamp is said to be rated for insulation contact. That may be true, but the problem is that there are multiple holes in the glass itself that you can literally see through. There are much better models out there that are IC and much more hermetic on the outside. I would NOT buy this again.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good quality lighting

This halo light is great for renovation, it goes perfectly with my original building decor. The Fast Wire "nuts" (clip style) are good quality and work well, I actually had to loosen one and it worked fine when I attached the wire in red. You will not be disappointed with this light.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some issues

Halo is a great product

These are the highest quality and most convenient cans to install in any prefab space. Do all the wiring first, pull the wire through the cutout and make all the connections (which are quick connect). Then place the jar in the cutout (ensure all the black retaining clips are removed (inserted into the jar) and press flush against the drywall and you can slide each clip up from the inside. If you don't get them all the way Use a flat screwdriver to push the clip until it clicks into place.

Reviews about them are pretty accurate. Some crumpled, some good.

Arrived in a regular brown box with the original Halo box sealed inside. When I opened them I noticed some of them were curved (oval), no idea how that could have happened with the factory packaging. The rivets on the bottom ring have come loose. I can fix them as I have a rivet gun along with aluminum rivets but I don't have to. These glasses are hard to come by so I took a chance after seeing the reviews. I thought if you buy by the piece then it will be like this.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Even with over 40 years in the building trade, LOTS of hands-on experience with tools, materials and processes, this light is simply NOT worth ANY amount of money, time and effort. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to make a 120 volt electrical appliance out of aluminum foil. This mount failed from the start due to its weak construction, thin material and almost impossible fixation of the mounting feet. And if you manage to hook the legs with brute force and determination, it's simply impossible to…

Perfect for updating my kitchen. I love the look and light of traditional glass lamps and didn't want to rule out adding LEDs at a later date and as there are so many retrofittable LED kits available this wasn't a problem. Yes, side clips can be an issue, but you just need to keep working on it. I found that I had to push some of the clips all the way in and then push with a flat head screwdriver to lock them in the locked position. If you are struggling with this and working with it, I would…

Pros

Cons
  • No Auto

Very easy to use and almost seamless assembly. I highly recommend using an "adjustable crown" designed for incandescent bulbs. Found as: Adjustable Can Lights Holesaw or search something like this. The rim of the glass that keeps it from falling into the hole is about 5/16 inch wide. Chances are, you're using one of the adjustable crowns designed for attaching glass mounts and you'll be fine. /8-1 /2", then you shouldn't have a problem with that either. Once you've installed the lamp correctly…
