They are transparent and work well in my application to protect small items from dust. I have them each on their side rather than the bottom and the lid doesn't necessarily hold them down too well in that position. They would work better if the lid was a little tighter.

I see other buyers saying it's not super clear, there's a sort of rainbow halo effect on the plastic. But I just wanted my kids to dust off all of their tiny figurines that they love to collect, so it works great for that purpose. It is durable and stackable.

Not a bad size for crafts and hobbies, but made from very thin, somewhat fragile plastic; I didn't open it right away, and when I opened it I found that where the outer packaging was damaged, a couple of the boxes had small tears; They're still usable, so given their low price, it's not worth asking for a replacement.

Drill holes on the sides quite easily. I use them to house my praying mantises. It's very clear and durable. There were some minor scuffs but no cracks or chips. I have ordered 12 more for the rest of my bugs due to arrive this week. I will update if I have negative feedback. HIGHLY recommended for bug guards. I've added a standard band for size reference.

I accidentally broke the stem and base of a small wine glass that a girl hand painted for me. I wanted to "demonstrate" this in something that cats wouldn't flip and that was the perfect size and shape. I placed a felt-covered piece of Styrofoam on the floor and pushed in the cup of the jar just enough to make it stand upright. I bought 3 of these so I'm going to top the other 2 with fly cookies and give them away for the holidays.
