I bought my first belt over a year ago and bought another shortly after. Before purchasing I read several reviews and noticed that some people find the buckle difficult to unbuckle. After the first two times it was actually very easy - just loosen the tension on the buckle and insert the release button into the bottom of the buckle. The belt was great until about 4 months ago. At that point it started to pinch, so I started having "tight calls" (related to certain biological functions) while wearing it. I think all attempts to undo the buckle have been tough on him because the two pins holding the belt together came out last week. I also found a discrepancy between leather and any other material the belt is made of. Is 3.5 good years enough to say this belt is a good buy? I do not know. It was the first I've ever had.

I have now ordered 2 of these and the current one I ordered had to be pre-made so no cutting was required. Well, the leather strap is still held in the metal bucket by the same rivet closure system. Very nice belt. The instructions were clear and concise. I had to cut the belt for a more accurate size. Again, the instructions that came with the belt made the process easy. The leather is of excellent quality and the buckle looks like it was made to last. It took me a few trial runs to see how the mechanism worked. I often wear this belt for months. The belt looked and felt durable, great for jeans or the office, just amazing overall - to the point I almost lost my pants when one day the buckle seemed to fall apart. There are only 2 pins to the end of the strap. the bottom must have fallen out through simple use and gravity. very disappointed. (I shamelessly hope this post gets me a replacement buckle or even that second tiny pin to try and fix.)
