In general, these are not bad handkerchiefs. The lining was well made, most held their shape after washing, were good absorbent and most importantly they were dense (unlike some of the sheer ones out there). These handkerchiefs do their job well. As a child, I was taught to always have a clean, folded handkerchief with me in case of an emergency. I've used mine as trauma bandages, snot rags, and as a gift for someone who needs a tissue for a snot rag, or to wipe away tears at a funeral. I go through several a year. I reuse the ones I restore, but more than once they don't come back. So I like cheap but durable cotton substitutes. That's a good deal.

Although I haven't used these tissues very often they do NOT come out of the wash as a crumpled mess that needs ironing. They're thin so obviously the absorbency isn't huge BUT they're basically Kleenex fabrics and you don't get much "absorbency" with Kleenex either! Can't comment on durability as I've only recently bought them, but come on guys, tissues aren't made to be super durable.

I bought this product to replace face cloths (less waste) and to seal jars for kombucha making at home. I sometimes use them to strain homemade oat and nut milks. I've had a hard time finding 100% cotton and anything with polyester irritates my skin. When I received them they looked and felt like a polyester blend, but they are definitely cotton. This is excellent value for money. You can get a lot of it for money. They are really big and heavy. I hope they soften over time as they fall off a bit after a few washes. If you hand iron them as you fold them, they won't wrinkle much, but if you're thinking of using them as a pocket square, 1) they're on the wide side, 2) they're on the thick side, and 3) you have to have them probably iron.

Excellent handkerchief. They're a bit heavier, thicker, which I like. They should be of great use. As soon as I received this pack and saw how heavy they are, I ordered another pack. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for softness is because I haven't used enough to break in, which is a godsend indeed. I think after a few washes they will get softer. I'm very happy with them and I tend to be more old school and like to carry handkerchiefs and I like them to be heavier. Very satisfied.
