Hanes 055X Unisex ComfortSoft Pique Apparel for Men Review

I love this shirt but have tried ordering two other similar ones in different colors. I have the one I like (above) and 2 with 1 button less (I wanted 3 buttons) and thinner, lower quality fabric.

The problem with this shirt is that it's too long. 5-6 inches below waist. It never looks right. Other shirts from other companies do this better. Just look at the photo with the shirt on the model.

I (mistakenly?) read the description and found it to be 100% cotton, especially since Best Buy shows it in response to a search for "100% cotton polo" when it's actually 50% polyester ("ComfortSoft cotton") ) is. The fabric is scratchy and uncomfortable, and the drape of the fabric gives the shirt an ugly shape, at least for my body type. I'm going to give this shirt as a gift and buy a 100% pique cotton polo shirt because I bought it in stores and thought I'd buy it here.

Shirt is ok, fit, workmanship and comfort. The only problem was that the white wasn't bright white. In fact, it looks a bit yellowish. Unnoticed until I hang it next to my Lands End shirt. It's ok for what I need.

I have ordered t-shirts many times from the same seller. However, this time the quality of the shirt was not the same as previous shirts I have purchased. They were MUCH thinner. Thinner to the point where I could see my skin through the material.

never mind The material is not as soft as some more expensive polo shirts. Sometimes, after washing and drying, the collar tends to pucker and a stiff crease forms where it folds. For the price it's ok.

If you are looking for a GAP style material that is thick and waffle like and lasts forever, don't waste your time trying to figure out the difference between "ComfortBlend" and "ComfortSoft" because you will get the product too Away. It's more of a thicker t-shirt material than the traditional heavy-duty material you're probably also used to. I wear collared shirts quite often and am trying to add more polo shirts to my wardrobe. Well, with one small exception: the sleeves are a bit short. They also ride us a bit until they wear out and stretch a bit. But for the price, they're pretty damn solid. Wash in cold water and do not over dry or the item may sit on you.

This potato sack they call a shirt is bad. All the polo shirts I own are cotton piqué. However, this shirt is more like burlap. The cut of the shirt is also terrible. Seriously, when I say this shirt looks like a bag, I mean it. I like the heavier weight and overall fit. (6-0, 215#, long torso/arms, in good shape). It's hard to find well-fitting shirts. This one does. Except. after several washes the length has reduced so much that it no longer stays pulled up. I would love to see this come out in XL Tall. If that were the case, I would boot. Instead, they opted for Duluth Trading shirts without the polo. I would have preferred this in size and price. If only they came in the size I needed. :(

I read in other reviews that it is anything but "pleasantly soft". I thought they were just being too picky or something, but no, they were accurate. I washed it before I put it on and when I blindly pulled it out of the laundry basket I thought I'd picked up a crunchy rag of paint or something. nope It was a Hanes ComfortSoft Polo. Incredibly scratchy and rough. More like 00 steel wool or Scotch-Brite padding. Guys, if you dream of boobs without hair, this shirt is for you.
