It's ok - might run small

I bought these for my so which is 12 and just a little plump and says they are very tight. I think part of it has to do with style and it's struggling a bit with the transition from boy's underwear to teenage/men's underwear. He doesn't wear them every day, but he will wear them, so I only rated them 'good'.

Pros
  • underwear
Cons
  • boring packaging

Boys Lightweight Boxer

I was hoping these would be a nice slim pair of boxers that wouldn't bunch up for my 12 year old. His big brother and dad have sweat-wicking underwear that's perfect for the summer months when they're all working out in jeans in the 100+ temps. Who needs thick cotton boxer shorts with jeans? They were so good I ordered a second pair for him.

Cons
  • So Far So Good

My 11 year old soccer and karate player really liked the X-Temp Hanes boxers but personally found them to be tight. I ordered size L (14/16) because he wears size 12/14 shirts and size 14 pants (barely a 14) and they were tight. We ended up buying them in size XL (18/20) and they fit perfectly. If your son likes very tight underwear that might be fine, but we weren't looking for compression underwear so we recommend going up a size. If it helps at all, he weighs 95 pounds and is about 5 feet…
