🧦 Tall Black Ankle Socks by Hanes Review

I bought 12 packs of these socks 8 months ago and almost every pair has holes in them. There is nothing wrong with socks. They're just not that big. I have a pair of Hanes socks that I still love and even after 8 years they have never had a hole. Obviously in this case they decided to make ultra-cheap socks in the expectation that they would wear out faster and need to be replaced faster. I don't respect this business model, but these socks are worth the money.

I used to think all Hanes socks were the same. But if you look closely in the product description, they're listed as "79 percent polyester, 18 percent cotton," which seems normal until you compare them to regular Hanes socks, which are typically 80 percent cotton and 15 percent polyester. It wasn't really a problem until I tried to walk across my slick tile floor and barely recovered from a nasty fall. They're slippery than ice. These things are dangerous, I won't wear them anymore.

DO NOT BUY THESE SOCKS! The material will make your feet stink so bad it's unbelievable. For some reason, within an hour of putting these socks on, they reek so much of foot odor you won't believe it. You can't wear these socks in public, much less sit at the dinner table. The smell is overwhelming. Unfortunately I didn't start wearing them a few months after ordering so the return period expired which is why I lost my hard-earned dollars. Don't make the same mistake I did. Shop elsewhere.

These socks serve their purpose. They cover your legs and make your shoes more comfortable. I don't know how they were made, but expect the material to shed a lot in the first two wears. I had no such experience before - hence the average rating. If you don't have hair-catching items in the bath, I would recommend washing your feet with a hose before you shower when you first put them on. I had more fibers coming out of my legs than I ever expected. Good deal if the fabric is a little worn.

They are beautiful, clean and smooth etc. it's really good. But after the first wash, the sock starts to fall apart and the more you wash it, the worse it gets. The material is not very stiff and not filled with material like regular regular dollar socks, they are more breathable and feel comfortable considering you hardly feel them so they can wear out even faster. But if you wear shoes 99% of the time, that shouldn't be a big deal as no one will see the signs. They last for months or longer…

I have a size 14 EE and a wide foot. Although a little too tight around my feet, they are comfortable. My problem with a previous purchase of regular socks that were too tight has definitely been resolved. The purchase is definitely worth it.
