Good quality at a good price.

Pretty good quality, generally happy with these buttons. Almost identical to my original except there is no Toyota logo on the back. would recommend.

Pros
  • High marks from testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I recommend: Keyless entry systems

Works great. My old key's remote stopped working, so all I needed was a transmitter. I programmed it and switched it on in about 5 minutes, no problem. I can't vouch for the thickness or transparency of the key part itself as I didn't need it and threw it away.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad

Do not reprogram, just change the transmitter chip!

Here's a life hack: instead of programming these keys in your car, just cut out the blanks and remove the chip from the old key fob and insert it into the new key body. Then you have a new key case, new battery, new buttons, but no reprogramming issues. It works and people will think you're that smart!

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Secret

Exactly what we needed. Works like new.

Our 2006 Toyota Rav4 is still running but the key has been through rough handling, crashes and everyday use. Our key is broken. As soon as we received them, my husband took the key to the hardware and lumber store. They cut the blade for a perfect fit and offered to program the remote if we needed one. Lots of money saved! Works like new!

Pros
  • Create the perfect thoughtful gift for any car lover
Cons
  • Negativity exists

Worked great for keyless entry

I've been driving my car with a spare key for a few months now. That would be nice, but I often have things in the back seat. I kept forgetting and went to the rear passenger to open the door only to be reminded to open the doors. Eventually I decided to buy a keychain and it worked great following the instructions on the websites they recommended. Made two attempts and I was able to connect both. I plan to cut them for my car one day. For context, I have a 2012 Scion xB.

Pros
  • Programming/cutting
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened

You still need to take them to your Toyota dealer.

I was able to find a manual online that describes how to program the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob - this was the easiest part. I was also able to carve a key at a local hardware store. Home Depot also has a great cutting system (laser cut) that is even more precise. BUT the key won't start the car until you take it to the Toyota dealership and program the chip in the key to the internal security system to disable the immobilizer in the car. I even tried contacting the local locksmith but…

Pros
  • Compatible Parts
Cons
  • Can't remember
