I sent one to my grandson who is 18 months old and he loves to play around with the click clack noises he makes and he pretends to try to eat his toes and laughs. When I visited her one day I was shocked to see that this is only a small toy, maybe 3 x 6 inches! In the commercial, he looked twice as tall. However, you must keep an eye on them with a tension thread.

This is a favorite! Definitely makes a sound when the frog opens and closes its mouth, my kid loves to use it when we're on a conference call haha, but overall we really like it. We've had it for a few months now and even after all the dents from the delighted little one it still looks brand new! I researched a few train toys and settled on this one because we love hype and it seemed like an affordable yet reliable option.

Received this for my one year old baby's birthday. I can't confirm if he likes it or not because my two year old immediately claimed it and has been playing with it for the past two hours. I've seen some comments that were disappointed with the size of this toy, the material, and the consistency of its mouth movements. I am pleased to report that all these factors are more than satisfactory. This is a high quality Hape toy and it was a hit!

Plastic top - green part of the frog PLASTIC. Those familiar with Hape products will assume that this frog is purely a wooden toy. I was so disappointed because the description repeated that it was a wooden toy. Reviews indicate that the upper, green part is made of plastic. Even in the saleswoman's responses to questions, she specified wood with PVC details. Nice toy, I think my grandchildren will like it. Not sure if it will last as long as solid wood toys. My mistake is making assumptions…

This little thing. I put it next to the water bottle for better comparison. I didn't like the short string. I need to lengthen it by tying another thread to it. My son is 2 years old and the rope is too short and he has to bend down to pull it with him. I would return it but he likes it a lot (probably because it's a new toy and not really because of the toy itself). In any case, increasing the length of the string itself isn't so bad. but in my opinion only worth 3 stars.

I'm sending it back. The forward thrust is not well designed, so the crosshead mouth does not open constantly, since only the rear wheels are constantly in contact with the ground. I tried it before Christmas (thank goodness) and couldn't get it to keep opening and closing. Also, until I received this item, I didn't realize that the entire top of the cross and some of the wheels were plastic and not wood. Obviously the price was too good to be true! I got this as a gift for a 1 year old friend and because it looked so cute I decided to buy it for my 18 month old baby . I'm so glad I did! When I gave it to my son he squealed with delight and started rolling it around the house. It's really cute and sturdy with no parts to fall off or break. The mouth opens and closes with movement.
