Bought this as a first bit for my 3 year old Arabian. He seemed to like it and it was holding up well until now when he first chewed it as young horses do and there was not a trace of it left. The 5 inches seems to fit his mouth perfectly.

Although my horses initially liked these bits, after 2 weeks of use they cracked and dented resulting in sharp edges on the plastic parts. As soon as that happens, they end up in the bin - a waste of money. Cannot recommend this product.

Although this is probably for young adults my 21 year old horse has such a soft mouth and just doesn't need much pressure to set or control his head. That makes him so happy and he can hold the bit comfortably. love it

My new Warmblood Skyfall seems happy to have his Happy Mouth bat. Since he's 16.1 and I'm 4ft 11in, he can lift his head out of my reach. The loose ring bit allows me to unclip the front of the bridle, place the bridle over the dangling bit, and then put the bit in his mouth. and attach it back to the bridle. So I am very satisfied with our Happy Mouth bit with double swivel ring.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER! The item I purchased was misrepresented on the sales page and when I sent it back they not only charged me for the shipping cost of the original purchase but also made me pay for the return postage, all because of their mistakes.
