Fun and easy to use

The kids and I had fun drawing animals and painting mushrooms. Drying takes some time. Let them dry in the sun. Easy cleaning

Good consistency best in clay

My package of air dried clay arrived quickly and although I wish it had come in a box it is in very good condition. It's just the right amount of slippery and stretchy material. I plan to use it for pots, sculptures and bas-reliefs.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons

Lots of cracks and severe shrinkage

I was really excited for this clay to finish my fabulous house I'm working on. However, as the clay dried, it cracked, detaching itself from the mold completely and cracking everywhere. It was all bullshit because 1 touch and it fell apart completely. I am very dissatisfied with the crazy shrinkage.

Pros
  • Beautiful construction
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Best Air Curing Clay Around

I've tried over twenty different air curing clays and the Laguna (formerly Aurora) self curing clay was the best! Available in light gray and terracotta. When I switched to online classes due to the pandemic, this tone was the only one students could use and consistently create amazing work. This clay is well suited for handmade pottery as well as sculpture. It is easy to work with and durable after drying.

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons

Two lumps of clay in ziplock bags.

I received two lumps of clay in ziplock bags. There were no instructions, there were no labels on the packages. The ziplock bags were crumpled into one large envelope and mailed to me as if they were leftover plasticine from someone's art project. I don't even know if it was really 10 pounds. stands because it had no labels. The clay seems good, but I don't even know if it dries properly.

  • Excellent overall performance

Almost better than real clay

Didn't come in one big block but in two smaller ones. I had a feeling it wasn't a ton of clay, but I definitely had more than enough. The consistency was smooth and very pliable. The less you work, the quicker it dries, which I haven't had a problem with. There was a slight chemical smell, but nothing bad. I used to only work with earthenware clay and to be honest I liked this clay more. It dries overnight. We paint with acrylic paints. Seal it when you're done if you plan to use it with…

Keep adding moisture as you go. It dries quickly.

I used this clay to play with my four grandchildren aged 3 to 10 years. They liked it. I showed them some small objects I had created to test the product and they were very excited to get their little hands on some clay. I just let them work with the clay with wet hands to get started. They grimaced at the slippery clay, but soon learned how to roll it into a ball. Then pierce the small eyes, then glue the long legs and arms onto the figure. We used toothpicks in the long legs and arms to help…

Not for professional use

Was unhappy with the result of using this putty. I ordered to cast on a wheel and make moon jars, I wanted to try this instead of using the usual kiln clay. Finally, for vases, moon jars and coasters, it is better to use baked clay. Some big cons of this product: - very sticky to throw on the wheel although it is possible - at no point was I able to trim the clay skin much, it immediately went from sticky to crumbly - very strong smell, like in the initial school acrylic paint non-toxic, quite…
