Hard fill for pour-over coffee makers

It is exactly what it says it is: size 2 Hario ceramic fill. Very well made, looks great and performs exactly as you'd expect. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not sure

Not the same as glass

I was looking to upgrade my glass hario to size 2, came across this ceramic one - didn't think about changing the material as the size is the same and it is black which is cool. I brewed coffee with it the same way I did with my glass and the drip time was twice as long. I don't know why because the size is the same. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • A few small things

Much longer with the new drip irrigation design

We have been using Hario drippers for years and have always had great results. The new design changes the depth of the ridges and takes MUCH longer to filter the water. You might think it makes the coffee better but it used to be great but now it takes too long. I hope the manufacturer sees this and goes back to the old design.

Pros
  • Also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Ideal. Best in Kitchen & Dining

I have been roasting coffee for 12 years and have tried different brewing methods over the past 20 years and finally brewed one that always brews coffee perfectly with consistent results. I have a lot of drops and some of them are more than double the price of this one. This is the only one I use now while others have become mere collectibles. What a perfectly designed product. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Super slow: infusion coffee machines

Looks very decorative, but a little heavy. I had a hard time turning the slush during flowering due to the weight of this thing. The flow rate was very slow compared to the v60 plastic (4 minutes vs 8 minutes!) so I had to improve the freeness and get a faster paper. Doable and fun, but you have to set it up accordingly. A great V60 all round, but it takes a while to get used to/update its recipes. Still on the fence about this V60.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Anything can be added
