Nice teacups best in Teacups

I bought this set together with the Hario ChaCha teapot. They look great and make a great set. The glass has no defects. There is a slight ripple at the edge of the glass which I think is a nice subtle touch. In terms of functionality, they're very well insulated (hot tea in the cup didn't burn your fingers at all) and have a beehive-like texture that makes them comfortable to hold. They're a decent size too - you don't have to refill your cup after two sips, which bothered me.

High quality glass on glasses and drinking utensils

I started drinking tea every day so I wanted to get a Hario tea set. At first I didn't choose it because I liked the design, but because it was Hario (great glass!). When I received it it looked bigger than I expected but the size was perfect for 4 cups from a 450ml teapot. Not too big and not too small. Ideal. Period. in Cups, Mugs & Saucers

I was looking for teacups that would perfectly match my cast iron Okuyama teapot. As such, matcha cups, with their flat bottoms and often feminine floral motifs, did not fare well. However, more columnar designs will not resemble their patterns. However, the same goes for the cups, which too obviously mimicked the Okuyama cup, both the bottom and the top.
