Easy enough to install

I made sure I know what I need to do before proceeding with the installation and everything went smoothly. The kit contained everything I needed. I've seen other reviews of similar coolers that should ensure there is some transmission fluid in the dry hose and outside of the metal tube to help attach the hose and this really made the hose installation easier. keep pushing.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost OK

Wrong hose size for fittings

The barbs on the radiator are 3/8 but on the hose they are 11/32 (that's what the hose says). I had to heat the hose up a bit to get it to work at all, and after that I struggled to get the hose far enough to secure it with a clamp. I was afraid of damaging the thin aluminum ribs and lines. I recommend buying your own 3/8 hose and don't forget the 3/8 fittings as they are not included.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

Good value for money

Purchased to replace the transmission common cooler. They seemed to fit together well, although the manual that came with the cooler says this truck is limited to 2500 pounds of pull and my truck is a custom 10k double camper. Assuming the lines don't blow off, I'm not sure why an aftermarket cooler would decrease my towing ability compared to the original heat soaked cooler shared with a heatsink.

Mazda 5 09 fits well.

Installation was fairly easy but my application required a few extra parts. A coupling was needed to extend the drain line so it could reach the radiator. I also needed aluminum to make the bracket. Used Oetiker clamps instead of hose clamps but didn't really have to. The hose (made in USA) was more than enough. Overall I think it's good value for money. Heat kills transmissions. For less than thirty dollars, it's a worthwhile investment.

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Reliability

Good cooler for small applications

Installed on NC Miata with AT. The gearbox temperature became too high during violent hill climbs (which was monitored by the OBD scanning unit). I bypassed and unplugged the standard add-on cooler setup and used the included hose to extend the lines to get to them. It works great, now the temperature is usually 170, an improvement of 30-40 degrees. The kit included all the hoses and clamps I needed. Attaches directly to the bottom face of the condenser coil using the included plastic wire ties

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • I have doubts

Reduced Temp 4L60e 40 Degrees Cheap Clips

1999 GMC Sierra 1500 4wd. Modify the trans lines by cutting a metal slot at the end, exposing a barbed fitting perfect for rubber tubing. Cheap clamps have to be in perfect condition or, like me, they will come loose during movement (twice). Temperatures are much better than the original 200-210 degrees and hotter with the original heatsink. Now the temperatures are around 160-170 degrees. Without a bypass, both lines go directly to the new cooler. Something to salvage the 4L60e gearbox because

Please investigate! - Engine Cooling and Climate Control

I installed this on a 2005 Trailblazer Ls EXT and while the installation is not really all that difficult there are a few things I would like to mention. First, the threads for the 390 adapter kit that is supposed to fit a Forerunner don't fit the heatsink at all. The plug that comes with the cooler does not fit the cooler at all. After about 12 hours of trying to assemble this setup, I found out through trial and error that the thread pitch is 9/16-18 and the hose end required is a 3/8 hose…

Perfect Compress Air Cooler

Well at $25 this cooler is smaller than some but seems to suit my application - a forced air cooler. During the Covid lockdown I learned on YouTube that putting a cooler between the compressor and the tank will reduce the amount of water collected in the tank. There are many videos on this topic, so I tried it. This transmission cooler has 3/8" OD and 1/4" ID unthreaded hoses and easily fits 3/8" air hoses with small clamps. Installation was extremely easy and quick. The kit comes with special…
